Stereo reception
The stereo in d ic a to r sym bol
lig h ts up if a stereo pro g ra m is
received.
The radio is e qu ip p e d w ith an a u to ­
m atic ste re o /m on o sw itch th a t elec­
tro n ic a lly sw itch e s to m ono fo r
clear re ce ption if a w eak signal is
received. A special c irc u it provides
fo r a sm o oth change-over rather
than a hard sudden s w itch in g ,
th e re b y re d u cin g noise and in te rfe r­
ence.
The stereo in d ic a to r w ill rem ain lit
even if th e receiver has changed to
the m ono m ode and w ill tu rn o ff at
an a ntenna signal co n sid ered in su f­
fic ie n t to p ro vid e a cce p tab le recep­
tio n q uality.
T ape C assette playback
It is re com m ended to use o n ly goo d
q u a lity cassettes w ith a playback
tim e o f n o t m ore than 60 to 90 m in ­
utes (C 60) o r (C 90).
To sta rt playback, insert a cassette
th ro u g h the cassette d oor. Push the
cassette in u n til it is locked in its
p la yin g p o sitio n .

head w ith th e special cleaner sup­
