4.2.1 Modem Control Keys

The following keys, when pressed, control the modems that are connected to the RCS20:
(Currently this feature is not implemented on the RCS20)
4.2.1.1
MODEM MOD CONFIG
Pressing this key brings up a series of menus on the LCD that allow control of the currently selected
modulator that is connected to the RCS20. The currently selected modulator and demodulator can be
changed by pressing the MODEM SELECT key. This feature is presently not implemented on the RCS20
4.2.1.2
MODEM DEMOD CONFIG
Pressing this key brings up a series of menus on the LCD that allow control of the currently selected
demodulator that is connected to the RCS20. The currently selected modulator and demodulator can be
changed by pressing the MODEM SELECT key. This feature is presently not implemented on the RCS20
4.2.1.3
MODEM INTFC CONFIG
Pressing this key brings up a series of menus on the LCD that allow control of the terrestrial interface for
the currently selected modem. The currently selected modem can be change by pressing the MODEM
SELECT key. This feature is presently not implemented on the RCS20.
LCD Front Panel Display. This is the 8 lines by 40 characters Liquid Crystal Display,
used to communicate with the RCS20.
Reset Alarms. This key resets all RCS20 current and latched major and minor alarms.
Select Current Modem. This key selects which modem is currently being controlled by
the Modem group of keys. This feature is presently not implemented for the RCS20.
Switch Status LEDs. Refer to Section 4.1.5 for a description of these LEDs.
Numeric Keypad. This group of keys is used to enter numeric parameters for the RCS20
and connected modems.
Soft keys. This group of keys is used for various functions as described by the label
shown above each key on the bottom line of the LCD Display.
Switch Control. This group of keys is used to control the RCS20 and decide which menu
tree is displayed on the front panel.
