Changing the Motor Belt
Engraving Motor Belt Replacement
A belt is used to drive the engraver's spindle. It runs between the motor drive pulley and the spindle
pulley and will eventually wear out. Replacement intervals will depend on usage, but it is common to
replace the belt every 2 years under moderate usage. To replace the belt, follow the steps below.
NOTE: Be sure to purchase the specified replacement belt from Vision Engraving Systems. Having the
correct belt size ensures proper operation of your engraver. NEVER EXCESSIVELY STRETCH THE
BELT!
Step 1 - Remove 4 screws on each side of Carriage Cover (8 screws total). Lift cover up to remove.
Step 2 - Roll Belt up toward top of spindle pulley.
Step 3 - Rotate Spindle pulley while rolling belt up. Belt will roll over top lip of pulley.
Reverse these steps to install a new belt.

Side Cover Removal
In certain cases, the side covers will need to be removed for maintenance. To remove the side covers,
first remove the 9 Phillips Head screws holding the back cover to the table frame. Slide the back cover up
and back. It will hang from a cable.
