create slightly more engraving depth. When rotary engraving, it is best to use as little pressure as
possible to reduce any socring effect the nose cone may have on the material being engraved.
17. Z-Axis Leadscrew - This threaded rod is driven by the Z-Axis Stepper Motor and drives the Spindle
up and down in the Z-Axis.
18. Carriage Assembly - The Carriage Assembly comprises of the Engraving Motor, Spindle, Pulleys,
and related components. It is driven in the X-Axis by the X-Axis Stepper Motor via the X-Axis
Leadscrew.
19. Y-Axis Linear Rails - Mounted on the sides of the engraver, these stainless steel rails with sealed
bearings secure the position of the Gantry in the Y-Axis direction.
20. X-Axis Linear Rails - Mounted in the middle of the Gantry, these stainless steel rails with sealed
bearings secure the position of the Carriage in the X-Axis direction.
21. Edge Guides - These guides allow the user to position material on the T-Slot Table accurately. They
can be raised or lowered to match the thickness of the material by loosening the 3 thumbscrews
under each guide, changing the height of the guide, then securing the guide in place by tightening the
thumbscrews.
22. T-Slot Table - This table acts as a support base for the material being engraved. The T-Slots can be
used with hold down clamps and other accessories to hold items securely during the engraving
process.
