6.6 REPLACEMENT PARTS INFORMATION

How to Access Components
Before accessing any components in the fireplace always first shut off power and gas to the fireplace.
This fireplace has been designed to make accessing the components as easy as possible. Most of the components including the
valve and control board can be accessed and replaced without having to remove anything from inside the firebox.
The descriptions below show where the main fireplaces components are located and how to access them for service. The
descriptions show how to access the components after the fireplace has been installed. All components are also accessible from
the outside of the unit before the fireplace is installed.
Pilot: The pilot is in the center of the firebox at the rear. If the pilot must be replaced. Remove the floorplate, burner and right-
side access grill from the fireplace. Remove the heat shield that is covering the valve under the access panel, this will give access
to the valve and control board so that the pilot can be disconnected. The pilot can then be disconnected from the pilot bracket
and removed from the fireplace.
Burner: To remove the burner first remove the 4 screws holding the feet of the burner to the floor plate. Then rotate the burner
so that the feet clear the air box. Then slide the burner to the left to remove the burner tube from the shutter box. Detailed
instructions for removing the burner can be found in the converting to LPG section of this manual.
Gas Valve: The main gas valve is located on the right side of the fireplace. To access the valve, remove the right-side access panel
and heat shield from the fireplace. The valve is mounted on a bracket that is Velcroed to the floor. Simply pull up on the bracket
to free the valve and pull it out of the fireplace. It is a good idea to first disconnect the wires connected to the valve, so they
aren't damaged when removing the valve. The gas lines will have enough slack to allow you to pull the valve out of the fireplace
without disconnecting them first.
Control Board: The control board is mounted on the right side of the fireplace. To access the control board, remove the right-
side access panel and heat shield from the fireplace. The board is Velcroed to the floor simply pull up on the board to remove it
from the fireplace.
