This chapter provides a reference for defining

W hen using multiple options in a form at, options are processed in the order they are rec eived.
A p p ly in g F ie ld Op t io n s
Field options further define text, bar c ode, and non-printable text fields. The text, constant text,
or bar code field m us t be previous ly defined before applying any field option to it.
Note :
Define field options imm ediately after the field to which they apply.
Combining Field Options
Multiple options can be us ed with mos t fields . Options c an be used in any c ombination exc ept as
noted with each definition. Options are process ed in the order they are rec eived.
For example, use Option 4 to c opy data from another field, and then use Option 30 to pad the
field. W hen using m ultiple options for the same field, plac e the options in the order to apply them
in the format.
Restrictions
Som e options c annot be us ed together. For example, incrementing (Option 60) and pric e field
(Option 42) options cannot be applied to the s ame field. See each Option's section for specific
combinations to avoid.
Option 4 (c opy a field) is the only option that can be repeated for a s ingle field.
