TCA self-diagnosis
BMW Motorrad TCA performs a
self-diagnosis to ensure its oper-
ational readiness. Self-diagnosis
is performed automatically when
you switch on operating readi-
ness.
Phase 1
System components are
checked at standstill.

Phase 2
System components are
checked when riding off.
TCA self-diagnosis completed.
The RBS symbol is no longer
displayed.
Check all the indicator and
warning lights.
TCA self-diagnosis not
completed
The TCA function is not
available, because self-
diagnosis did not complete.
(The E-Scooter has to reach
a defined minimum speed
with the motor running for the
wheel sensors to be checked:
min 5 km/h)
If an indicator showing a TCA
fault appears when TCA self-
diagnosis completes:
You can continue to ride. Bear
in mind that the TCA function
is not available or the function-
ality might be subject to certain
restrictions.
Have fault rectified as soon
as possible by an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
E-Scooter ready for
operation
When the Pre-Ride-Check and
the ABS self-diagnosis complete,
the E-Scooter with all consumers
is ready for operation.
NOTICE
To help reduce the strain on the
12 V battery, use electrical con-
sumers only for as long as abso-
lutely necessary and switch off
operational readiness when it is
not needed.
