Remove the charging socket
cap 1.
Remove the protective cap
from the charging plug.
Plug in the standard charging
cable from the domestic socket
or the Mode3 charging cable
from the charging station. Fol-
low the instructions on the
charging station if you are char-
ging at a charging station.
The standard charging cable
automatically runs all the test
steps required. The test was
successful if symbol 2 lights up
green. If the symbol 2 lights
up red, the test was failed and
the charging procedure cannot
start and the charging cable
must not be connected to
the vehicle. The following test
steps are run:
Testing the wall socket for in-
correct wiring
Testing for the presence of a
protective earth
Testing the requirements for
correct charging
The status displays and fault
messages are listed in the
"Technical Data" section. Any
fault messages displayed can
be reset as follows:
Disconnect the standard char-
ging cable from the voltage
supply by unplugging the plug
from the wall socket.
Plug the plug back in after 3
seconds.
Critical faults which indicate
damage to the standard char-
ging cable are not reset. These
faults include:
Relay welded up (equipment
permanently damaged)
Faulty temperature sensor
Fault current test negative
Check the maximum permiss-
ible steady charging current for
the wall socket.
For the first charging proced-
ure, set the maximum charge
current either directly on the
standard charging cable using
the buttons 3 or on the char-
ging station.
The value set will be stored
automatically after two
seconds. This procedure
