HOME SCREEN & USER INTERFACE
Omnia.9's front panel touch screen simultaneously provides access to the user interface and displays a wealth of information
about your processing and signal.
This is a typical screen you will see upon opening NfRemote, and then clicking the Home button. This is your starting point.
The Omnia.9 powers up in the "default" tree starting mode. The meters will be showing whatever their settings were before the
previous shutdown.
Here, this display is showing the Undo Meters (Aggressive Unprocessing preset) and the Oscilloscope (found in Display
Settings under the Instrumentation group) is showing the MPX Output. Controls such as the Speaker and Headphone Volume
levels can be adjusted via the Omnia.9's touchscreen by placing your finger on the touchscreen control and sliding your finger
in the desired direction of adjustment (note that you can keep dragging for the entire width of the screen, outside the depicted
control, as long as you don't let go), or by sliding the cursor (on NfRemote) on the control. Double-tapping on a sliding
control will bring up an enlarged view for easier adjustment. Tapping on a button such as the Menu control opens up drop-
down menus or navigates to a sub-menu.
The Speaker Volume control adjusts the output level of whatever audio you have routed to the Speaker Output. Likewise,
the Headphone Volume control adjusts the output level of the audio you have routed to the Headphone Output. Each
control displays the patch point currently being monitored. Orange bars within the controls indicate that the limiters in
the corresponding monitor output are active. Details of the Speaker Output and Headphone Output are described in the
Monitor Outputs section of this manual.
The Menu button on the unit front panel has the following options: Displays Only, Lock Front Panel (assuming you've
set a password!), Tree Navigation, Tabbed Navigation, Small/Medium/Large fonts, and Re-initialize Display.
The Menu button in NfRemote has the following options: Displays Only, Tree Navigation, Tabbed Navigation, Lock
¸
Position, Maximize and Fullscreen (if not maximized or fullscreen) and Restore otherwise, Close Window.
Selecting Displays Only allows whichever displays you have selected to occupy the entire front panel while hiding
¸
the controls, useful when you want a more detailed view of the processing meters or an oscilloscope or FFT display.
Tapping anywhere on the screen returns you to the normal view, which shows both displays and controls.
