- Input into character string input fields is also possible using the "control key"
touch switches (0 to 9, A to F), and from a bar code reader connected to the
NT31/NT31C.
- A "control key" touch switch (ENT or [
character strings when "character string setting" is used.
S Control code input function
Control keys are used as numeric keys (0 to 9, A to F) for the numeral input func-
tion, and as special keys with fixed functions. By assigning an control key to a
touch switch, it can be used to execute a specific function.
The attributes for control keys are as follows.

Used to input numerals (1 digit)

Clears numeric values and character strings in input fields
Assigns the opposite sign to input numeric values

Used to move to the input field at the top left of the screen

S Pop-up window/keyboard function
This function is used to control the opening and closing of windows when using
the window function (7-14 "Window Function", page 438).
- When the "window opening" bit of the PT status control area is set to "1" (dis-
abled), it is not possible to open windows by operations at the NT31/NT31C
such as touch switch operations.
- By associating windows with the "cursor moving key" touch switches with the
Support Tool, windows can be opened by pressing the cursor moving keys.
