9.3 Light Kit (optional)

CAUTION: Disconnect all electrical power from the fireplace before
performing this task.
ATTENTION: If converting to Propane, complete the conversion before
installing any light kit components. Follow instructions provided with
the conversion kit (sold separately).
NOTE: To avoid damage and prolong the life of the halogen bulbs,
never touch with bare hands. Always use a soft cloth when handling.
9.3.1 Install Light Kit
1. Remove the safety screen, access cover, and glass frame
assembly (if installed).
2. Remove the exhaust cover (4) screws. Save screws.
REMOVE EXHAUST COVER (4) SCREWS
3. Remove the (2) light kit covers, (8) screws each. Save screws.
REMOVE LIGHT KIT COVERS (8) SCREWS EACH
4. Feed the light kit housing wiring through the light kit hole down
through the back of the firebox.
5. Attach both light kit housing to the top of the firebox using the
previously removed screws.

SCREWS PREVIOUSLY REMOVED
6. Install (2) halogen bulbs (included with this kit) into lamp bases.
7. Install the light kit glass and glass bracket for each side. Use
(4) sheet metal screws previously removed and (4) sheet metal
screws (included with this kit).
8. Locate the wiring previously fed through the light kit holes
below the firebox.
9. Plug the red male quick connect terminals (single pair of wires)

into the yellow female quick connect terminals (two wires going
into connectors).
10. Plug the blue female quick connect terminals with one wire into
the IFC Proflame 2 module (see previous page).
11. Reinstall exhaust cover (4) screws previously removed.
12. Reinstall glass frame assembly, access panel, and safety screen.
