4. Connect the NovAtel or custom cable to the power supply and turn on the power supply. The power LED
on the receiver glows red when the AG-Star is properly powered.
Fuse/holder recommendations can be found in Table 9, Recommended Fuse and Fuse Holders
on page 49.
Minimum conductor size for all wiring is 0.5 mm / 20 AWG.

Power Supply Requirements

The AG-Star requires +8 to +36 VDC for the input power to the receiver. See Section A.2, AG-Star
Specifications on page 44 for additional power supply specifications.
The AG-Star cable provides power in (labeled BATT+) and power ground (labeled BATT-) bare wires for
connections from the AG-Star to a vehicular power system (or equivalent). For cable details see
Section A.2.3, AG-Star Connector and Cable Requirements on page 49.
The AG-Star power source must be protected by a 5A fast blow fuse (user supplied) or damage
to wiring may result (not covered by warranty).
