Managing results

General

Users have the option of printing to the thermal printer or transferring results to the OtoRead
TM
Each OtoRead
will include one or more of these options. Your specific options will vary depending on the
configuration of the system purchased.

Saving results

TM
The OtoRead
automatically saves the results of completed tests in the non-volatile memory that is to say,
tests are saved even if the battery is temporarily discharged. However, the OtoRead
long-term storage of test results.
Please note: Users are strongly encouraged to print/transfer all test results on completion of testing to avoid
potential loss of data.

Deleting results

The OtoRead
holds data in non-volatile memory. The data stays in the memory even after data is printed
by the thermal printer or downloaded to the OtoRead
methods, depending on the Save mode.
When operating in the default 'Save L/R' mode, the OtoRead
the most recent test results for each ear and print/transfer only these
results. This allows the user to retest a patient after a REFER result and
to print/transfer only the most recent test result for each ear. It is
recommended that the results be printed after each patient in the default
mode.
When operating in the 'Save 250' mode, the OtoRead
250 tests. There are two options in the 'Save 250' mode:

250. This allows the user to save all tests for each patient (tests
of the same ear are NOT overwritten) and to test multiple
patients before printing or transferring results. In this mode, it is
important to keep a record of the test number(s) for each patient.
