5 If you indicated that you want to specify a frame length
when you configure your traffic (as opposed to a packet
length), in Frame Length, select one of the pre-defined
lengths, or specify a User Defined length in bytes.
6 If you need to specify other settings for the test, use the
left and right arrow keys to go to the appropriate configu-
ration menu; otherwise, press the Home key to return to
the Summary Results screen.
The frame settings are specified.
If you selected the Layer 3 IP Traffic or Layer 4 Traffic test,
before you transmit traffic you can specify the packet charac-
teristics of the traffic, such as the destination IP address and
packet payload.
– If you indicated that you want to specify a packet length
for transmitted traffic, you also specify the length on the IP
configuration menu.

– Select Unicast to send traffic
to a single destination
address and network device.
– Select Multicast to send traf-
fic with a multicast address
to a group of network
devices.
Indicate whether MPLS traffic
will carry one or two labels.
Specify the ID (the label the net-
work will use to route the traffic),
priority, and TTL (time to live).
Be certain to specify labels that
have already been instantiated
by routers on the network.
