Section 5: Parts and Module Replacement

5.10.6 Environmental Board (EVB)

The EVB is mounted to the wall inside the light engine assembly compartment. The fans, pump, temperature
sensors and motor control harnesses plug into the EVB.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 15 minutes)
1. Remove the front top lid. Refer to
Front Top Lid, on page 5-6.
2. Remove the high security lid. Refer to
5.5.2 High Security Lid, on page 5-6.
3. Loosen the single thumbscrew securing
the EVB in place. (Figure 5-39)
4. Disconnect the 10 harnesses from the
EVB.
5. Remove the EVB.
6. When re-installing the EVB, repeat the
above instructions in reverse. Refer to
Section 9 Interconnections
reconnecting the harnesses.
5.10.7 Link Decrypter Card
NOTICE! This card is field replaceable only. It is not a field serviceable component.
The enigma card is attached to the PI board. This card handles the decryption/encryption cinema content
coming into the projector.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 20 minutes)
1. Remove the front top lid. Refer to
Lid, on page
2. Remove the high security lid. Refer to
Security Lid, on page
3. Remove the PIB/ICP cover. Refer to
Cover, on page
4. Remove the security ring by pressing down on the
latch on the right-side of the cardcage.
5. Remove the PIB. Refer to
Intelligence Board (PIB), on page
6. Using a #1 Phillips™, remove the four screws securing the link decrypter card to the PIB. (Figure 5-40)
7. Disconnect the link decrypter card from the PIP.
8. When installing, repeat the above instructions in reverse. Once the projector is up and running, Service
Marriage must be performed to continue playing encrypted content. Marriage should only be reset by
Christie authorized service technicians. Refer to
5-28
