１．Introduction
Thank you for purchasing ESSD/ELCR Series Electric Actuator. This Instruction Manual describes
basic points such as installation and operating procedures so that ESSD/ELCR Series Electric
Actuator can perform at its full potential. Please read this Instruction Manual thoroughly before
using this product to ensure its proper operation.
Please keep this Instruction Manual in a safe place where it will not get lost.
２．Precautions
Precautions that require particular attention are described here. For others, please refer to DANGER,
WARNING, and CAUTION at the beginning of this Instruction Manual.
２．１ Transportation
１） Precision parts are built into the product; hence, overturning, vibration, shocks are strictly prohibited
during its transport.
※ Otherwise, it may cause damage to the parts.
２） Place the product horizontally when placing the product temporarily before installation.
３） Do not get on nor place objects on the packaging.
４） There shall be neither dew condensation nor freezing at the ambient temperature from -20℃ to 60℃
and at the ambient humidity between 35% and 85%. Otherwise, it could result in product failure.
２．２ Installation
１） Install the product indoors where there is less humidity.
※There is a risk of short circuit or fire accident if the product is installed where rain drops may fall or
where there is a lot of moisture (85% or greater humidity or there is dew condensation). Oil drops
and oil mists are also strictly prohibited.
２） Use and store the product where the operating ambient temperature is 0 to 50 ℃ (no dew
condensation).
※Otherwise, it may cause abnormal shutdown and reduced service life of the product. Ventilate if
heat accumulates.
３） Install this product where it is not exposed to direct sunlight, dust, heat generating element and where
there are no corrosive gas, flammable gas, and inflammables.
※Otherwise, it may cause product failure and explosion/ignition.
４） Use and store the product where there is no strong electromagnetic wave and radiation.
※Otherwise, it may lead to product malfunction or failure.
５） Use and store the product where the product body and cable are not subjected to noise.
※Otherwise, it may cause product malfunction or failure.
６） Storage environment conforms to installation environment, but long-term storage of more than one
month is not recommended. In particular, take steps to prevent dew condensation.
２．３ Cautions on Use
１） Do not allow external force to move the moving part, nor allow motion involving rapid deceleration
