Select motor power supply having margins in its capacity with respect to the number of units installed. If
there are no margins in its capacity, it may cause product malfunction. (Refer to 3.1.2 Controller
Specifications.)
Do not disassemble the product.
The cable for this product cannot be used in applications where it is repeatedly bent. For such applications,
connect it to a robot cable.
Secure the cable in place so that it does not easily move. Also, when securing the cable, do not bend the
cable at an acute angle (bending radius of 50mm or less) in order to secure it.
When power is applied and the product performs original position recognition, it may detect an unintended
position as original if there is an external stopper or a holding mechanism (such as a brake). Install external
stoppers and such so that the original position will definitely be detected after power is applied.
When carrying or installing the product, do not hold its movable part or its table part.
Do not use the product where it is subjected to ultraviolet radiation and in atmospheres containing
corrosive gas and salt. Doing so may cause degradation in strength due to performance degradation, product
malfunction, and rust formation.
Do not install the product where large vibrations and big shocks can be transmitted. Large vibrations and big
shocks to the product can cause the product to malfunction.
Do not use the product where dew condensation can occur due to rapid change in ambient temperature.
When using cylinder switches, always refer to Pneumatic Cylinders I (Catalog No.CB-29S) for their
installation, wiring, and precautions.
If ELCR-28 is being used with a cylinder switch attached, use the teaching pendant to move the table to
the PUSH side before attaching the cylinder switch. Forcedly moving the table can cause injury and product
failure.
Confirm compatibility of CKD products with customer systems, machines, equipments at customer s own
risk.
Do not attach the communication connector of this product to other devices. Doing so may cause product
failures and unexpected accidents.
<Operation>
Do not allow external force to move the moving part, nor allow motion involving rapid deceleration.
Regenerative current can cause product malfunction and breakdown.
Do not bang piston rod or table onto the mechanical stopper except when returning to its original position or
for clamping operation. Impact can damage the feed screw and it may cause the product to malfunction.
Do not dent nor scratch the moving part. Doing so may cause the product to malfunction.
For clamp movement, set the press-in distance so that the clamp movement starts 0.5 mm or more ahead
of the actual clamping position. If the work piece is clamped at a position where clamp movement has not
started, it will trigger an alarm.
Durability varies by transfer load, environment, etc. Allow sufficient margin when setting transfer load and
such. Use the product in a way so that there is no impact to the moving part.
Do not allow external force to act on the product during return-to-origin movement. Otherwise, it may
falsely recognize its origin.
The product must be fitted with a LAN port protective cover (for connecting the teaching pendant) during
operation. Otherwise, foreign substance can get in the product and cause product failure.
If servomotor is turned off while gravity and force of inertia are being applied, the work piece may continue
to move or fall off. This operation must be performed at equilibrium where there is neither gravity nor force
of inertia, or after confirming safety.
<Maintenance/Inspection/Repair>
When disposing this product, follow the law on Waste Disposal and Cleaning, and make sure to have it
disposed of by a specialized waste disposer.
