For actions to take against alarms, please refer to Section 10: Troubleshooting.
WARNING: If alarms 3 and 4 above are confirmed, immediately shut down the power supply and inspect the
inspect the actuator including all power supply related concerns.
1) Actuator behavior when an alarm is triggered:
As soon as an alarm is triggered, the actuator will stop at that spot (servomotor is ON).
Alarm output (b-contact connection) goes OFF, and ready-to-operate output goes OFF.
Body indicator light will also light up in red.
Refer to Sequences after Power-On Table in Section 7.1 for output and indicator light behaviors.
2) How to execute alarm reset:
Remove the causes of the alarm and input the alarm reset signal.
For alarm reset method using the teaching pendant, refer to teaching pendant instruction manual
[ETP-2 (SM-431061)].
CAUTION:
When an alarm is triggered, if the power supply is shut down without resetting the alarm, the alarm will
not be cancelled when the power is re-connected. (The alarm descriptions are stored in memory.)
After troubleshooting the alarm, always execute alarm reset.
CAUTION:
Because the movement command input signals of single type and double 3-position type of the solenoid
valve mode are level inputs, it will be activated depending on the condition of input signals after alarm
reset.
Example:
In single mode, if Input 2 (target position ① is designated) is turned OFF and an alarm is triggered
during operation, the actuator will stop at that spot. When alarm reset is executed after troubleshooting,
it will move to target position ① at the same time because Input 2 is OFF. Troubleshooting after an
alarm has been triggered is very dangerous; exercise caution such as resetting the alarm via the
teaching pendant and operating by jog movements.
In case of double 3-position type, make sure to set Input 1 and Input 2 to OFF at alarm resets.
