Numeric pager
A numeric message will be sent to a numeric pager.
Note! If the Numeric pager option is chosen the dialler will ask you to enter a pager
delay.
SMS/alpha-numeric pager
A text message will be sent to an alphanumeric pager or a cell phone.
Note! If the SMS/alpha-numeric pager option is chosen the dialler will ask you to
choose a pre-configured TAP service - see Configure TAP for more detail.
The EDAC700 RTU is capable of detecting dial tone and ring tone from the telephone
exchange using its inbuilt modem.
If the EDAC700 RTU will not dial, due to being unable to detect dial tone you can set it to
"no tone detect". This is also called "blind dialling". This will allow the EDAC700 RTU
to initiate a call regardless of the dial tone frequency.
no tone detect (default)
The dialler will dial without waiting to detect dial tone.
detect dial tone
The dialler will only dial after dial tone is detected. NOTE: Dial tone detect is not
available in Australia
detect ring tone
