Configure Groups (Group Menu)

Each configured I/O must be mapped to a Group.
It is the Group that generates the alarm notification call.
Program Mode -> Configure Dialler -> Configure Groups
The "Configure Groups" menu includes Add & Delete Group options, and at least one
pre-configured Group:
1,Group 1
Example group configuration
As you define new Inputs using Add Group, they are added to the list in this menu. You
can modify any existing entry by pressing <Ok> when its name is displayed.
The next setting is the display label for the Group. The LCD accommodates 20
characters, however labels can be up to 40 characters long.
Select a descriptive name that suits the group type.
Once a character has been entered, the existing text will be replaced. You can now
backspace using <Left> to edit your name entry.
When working with different Input sensor types it is logical to group the sensor types
together. E.g. Intruder Sensor Group, Smoke detector Group. These groups can then
be associated with a Call List with the telephone numbers of the appropriate personnel.
The next setting allows you to record a voice message to suit the group name. E.g.
"Group 1" or "Smoke Detectors".
Several messages are displayed while the RTU prepares to record. Wait for the
EDAC700 RTU to beep before you start your recording.
