Die CD-Schublade kann nun mit der Taste

Hinweis: Während der Wiedergabe ist die CD-

Schublade gegen unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen ver-

riegelt.

5.2 Anzeige der Titelnummer, Laufzeit, Takt-

schläge pro Minute und des Ruhemodus

In der Grundeinstellung nach dem Einschalten gibt

das Display (Abb. 3) während der Wiedergabe einer

CD und bei eingeschalteter Pause die Titelnummer

(j) und die Restzeit (k) des gerade laufenden Titels

an. Zur Kennzeichnung der Restzeit signalisiert das

Display „REMAIN" (n). Die Zeit wird in Minuten (M)

und Sekunden (S) angezeigt, wobei die Sekunden

noch einmal in 75 sogenannte Frames (F) unterteilt

sind (1 Frame =

Sekunde).

Durch mehrfaches kurzes Betätigen der Taste

TIME/STOP (5) können folgende Zeitinformationen

angezeigt werden (wird die Taste länger gedrückt,

schaltet das Laufwerk auf Stopp):

1. Tastendruck

die bereits gespielte Zeit des momentanen

Titels (die Anzeige „REMAIN" erlischt)

2. Tastendruck

die Restzeit der gesamten CD („REMAIN" wird

wieder angezeigt)

3. Tastendruck

Grundeinstellung (Anzeige der Restzeit des lau-

fenden Titels)

5.2.1 Bargraph

Der Bargraph (c) stellt die Titel- bzw. CD-Restzeit

oder die bereits gespielte Zeit eines Titels durch

seine Länge graphisch dar, je nachdem welche Zeit-

information im Display mit der Taste TIME/STOP (5)

gewählt wurde. Die letzten 30 Sekunden eines Titels

5.2 Display of title number, playing time,

beats per minute, and sleep mode

In the basic setting after switching on, while replay-

ing a CD or with activated pause, the display (fig. 3)

shows the number (j) and the remaining time (k) of

the title currently playing. To indicate the remaining

time, the display shows "REMAIN" (n). The time is

indicated in minutes (M) and seconds (S), the

seconds are subdivided again into 75 so-called

frames (F) [1 frame =

second].

By repeated short actuation of the button TIME/

STOP (5), it is possible to display the following time

indications (if the button is pressed for a longer time,

the player mechanism will stop):

5.2.2 Beatcounter

Der integrierte Beatcounter zählt ständig automa-

tisch die Taktschläge pro Minute des laufenden

Titels. Zur Anzeige der Anzahl der Taktschläge pro

Minute die Taste BPM (28) kurz betätigen. Die

Anzeige „PITCH" (h) erlischt und „BEAT" (g) wird

eingeblendet. Das Anzeigefeld PITCH (i) gibt jetzt

die Anzahl der Taktschläge pro Minute an. Zum

Zurückschalten auf die Anzeige der mit dem Regler

PITCH CONTROL (30) eingestellten Geschwindig-

keit die Taste BPM erneut drücken.

Hinweise

a Solange der Beatcounter noch kein brauchbares

Resultat gezählt hat (z. B. am Titelanfang), signa-

lisiert die Anzeige „- -".

b Wird mit dem schnellen Vor- oder Rücklauf [Taste

unterbricht der Beatcounter den Zählvorgang

und signalisiert „- -". Nach dem Vor- bzw. Rück-

lauf muss er den Wert zuerst wieder ermitteln.

c Bei Musik ohne rhythmische Signalspitzen (z. B.

Klassik oder ruhige Musiktitel) kann der Beat-

counter keinen Wert ermitteln oder zeigt einen

falschen Wert an. In diesem Fall auf manuelles

Zählen schalten: Die Taste BPM ca. 3 Sekunden

gedrückt halten, bis die Anzeige „BEAT" (g)

blinkt. Dann die Taste im Takt der Musik einige

Male antippen.

Zum Zurückschalten auf automatisches Zählen

die Taste BPM wieder ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt

halten, bis die Anzeige „BEAT" nicht mehr blinkt.

5.2.3 Ruhemodus

Stehen beide Laufwerke länger als 30 Minuten auf

Pause, schaltet das Gerät automatisch in den Ruhe-

modus. Die beiden Laser-Abtastsysteme sind dann

abgeschaltet und werden somit geschont. Das Dis-

play zeigt „SLEEP" (Schlaf) und alle beleuchteten

beats per minute of the currently playing title auto-

5.3 Betriebsart wählen

5.3.1 Einzeltitelwiedergabe

Nach dem Einschalten des CD-Players ist immer die

Einzeltitelwiedergabe aktiviert, die speziell für DJ-

Anwendungen vorgesehen ist:

1. Das Display signalisiert „AUTO CUE SINGLE" (f).

2. Nach dem Einlesen einer CD oder nach dem An-

wählen eines Titels mit den Tasten TRACK (27)

steht der CD-Player exakt an der Stelle, an der

die Musik beginnt (nicht bei Zeitindex 0:00:00).

Diese Stelle wird automatisch als Startpunkt

gespeichert. Das Display signalisiert dabei kurz

„A CUE". Nach dem Starten des Titels kann mit

der Taste BOP (24) oder der Taste CUE (25) auf

diesen Startpunkt zurückgesprungen werden.

3. Nach dem Spielen eines Titels schaltet das Gerät

exakt an der Stelle auf Pause, an der die Musik

des nächsten Titels beginnt. Diese Stelle ist dann

als neuer Startpunkt gespeichert.

5.3.2 Gesamttitelwiedergabe

Soll ein Titel nach dem anderen kontinuierlich abge-

spielt werden, mit der Taste CONT./SINGLE (6) auf

Gesamttitelwiedergabe schalten. Das Display springt

von „AUTO CUE SINGLE" (f) auf „CONTINUE" (d)

um. Zum Zurückschalten auf Einzeltitelwiedergabe

die Taste CONT./SINGLE erneut betätigen.

5.2.3 Sleep mode

If both player mechanisms are set to pause for a

period exceeding 30 minutes, the unit will automati-

cally go to sleep mode. In this case, both laser

sampling systems are switched off for the purpose

of conservation. "SLEEP" is displayed and all illumi-

nated buttons and all LEDs on the control unit are

extinguished. By actuation of any button the unit

returns to normal operating mode. The player

mechanisms precisely return to the same spot on

the CD where they were before the unit was set to

sleep mode.

Note: If a player mechanism is set to stop or if there

is no CD inserted in one of the player mechanisms,

the unit will not go to sleep mode.

5.3 Selecting the operating mode

5.3.1 Single title replay

After switching on the CD player, the single title

replay specially provided for DJ applications is

always activated:

1. The display indicates "AUTO CUE SINGLE" (f).

2. After reading in a CD or after selecting a title with

the buttons TRACK (27), the CD player is pre-

cisely on the spot where the music starts (not at

the time index 0:00:00).

The unit automatically memorizes this spot as

a starting point. The display shortly indicates

"A CUE". After starting the title, it is possible to

return to this starting point with the button BOP

(24) or the button CUE (25).

3. After replaying a title, the unit returns to pause

precisely on the spot where the music of the next

title starts. This spot is then memorized as a new

starting point.
