Adjusting the sound

You can adjust the bass and treble to enjoy more
powerful sound.
Generating a more dynamic
sound (Dynamic Bass
Feedback)
Press DBFB.
To cancel the DBFB, press DBFB again.
The DBFB is factory set to on.

Press BASS/TREBLE repeatedly to
select "BASS" or "TREBLE".
Each time you press the button, the display
changes as follows:
BASS y TREBLE

Press MENU . or > repeatedly to
adjust the level while "BASS" or
"TREBLE" appears.
Tip
When the unit is operated with the lid closed, select
"Bas" or "Tre" in step 1.

Enjoying surround sound

When the function is set to DVD you can select
surround sound according to your needs.
Press SOUND FIELD repeatedly.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:

• Virtual surround
This function uses audio processing to allow
you to enjoy surround sound from multi-
channel audio signals using only your front
speakers.
• Night mode
This function allows you to retain a theater
like environment and hear dialog clearly
when watching movies at low volume levels,
such as late at night.
Notes
• Pressing SOUND FIELD while recording will not
change the surround effect.
• The surround effect may not be obvious with certain
discs.
