To label an MD
Press NAME EDIT/SELECT while the
total number of tracks (or groups when the
Group Function is on) is displayed.
To label a group
Press MD GROUP repeatedly until
"GROUP ON" appears, then press GROUP
SKIP repeatedly until the desired group
appears. Press NAME EDIT/SELECT
while the total number of tracks within the
desired group is displayed.
The cursor starts flashing.

Press NAME EDIT/SELECT to select
the desired type of character.

To change the character
In step 3 or 4, press B or b repeatedly until the
character to be changed flashes, press CLEAR to
erase the character, then repeat steps 3 and 4.
To add a character
After steps 1 and 2, press B or b repeatedly until
the cursor comes to the point you want to add a
character, then proceed to step 3.
Note
If you enter the symbol "//" between the characters in
disc titles such as "abc//def", you may be unable to use
the Group Function.
Tip
You can label a track title during playback. The
playback repeats until you finish labelling.
Checking the titles
To check the disc titles, press DISPLAY in stop
mode. To check the track title, press DISPLAY
during playback. The title appears scrolling in
the display.
To check the group titles, press MD GROUP
repeatedly in stop mode until "GROUP ON"
appears, press GROUP SKIP repeatedly until
the desired group appears, then press DISPLAY.
Erasing the titles
Open the lid before performing the following
operations.

To erase group titles, press MD GROUP
repeatedly in stop mode until "GROUP
ON" appears.

Press MENU/NO in stop mode.

Press V or v repeatedly until "Nm
Erase?" appears, then press ENTER/
YES.
To erase disc titles
Press V or v repeatedly until "Nm Ers Disc"
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
To erase track titles
Press V or v repeatedly until the desired
track number appears, then press ENTER/
YES.
