Update an application.
Using TFTP, you can download an application file from the PC to the router, and overwrite the
original main application file to implement the application program update. The updated
application file takes effect when the router reboots.
# Download application file main.bin from the PC to the router.
<HP> tftp 192.168.80.200 get main.bin main.bin
The file main.bin exists. Overwrite it? [Y/N]:y

When you download an application file, if the file name already exists on the router, the system
prompts whether to overwrite the file on the router. You need to enter Y or N for confirmation.
For details about the tftp command, refer to HP SR6600 Routers User Manual.
You can update a configuration file in the way you update an application file. A configuration file
can be modified by a text editor. You can modify a configuration file and then download the
modified configuration file to the router, and the modification takes effect after the router
reboots.

Back up an application file
Using TFTP, you can back up an application file by uploading it to the PC.
# Upload file main.bin on the router to the server, and save it as main.bin.
<HP> tftp 192.168.80.200 put main.bin main.bin
File will be transferred in binary mode

File uploaded successfully.
When you back up an application file, if the file name already exists on the server, the system
overwrites the file on the server directly, without any prompt.

You can back up a configuration file in the way you back up an application file.
Display information
Description
Name of the current directory.
Used space of the CF card (available space)
If no sufficient space is available in the CF card, the update
will fail.
File system type of the CF card.
