8. Connect all necessary internal cabling to the expansion board. For more information on these cabling
requirements, see the documentation that ships with the option.
9. If removed, install the air baffle.
10. Install the access panel.
11. Install the server into the rack.
12. Connect all necessary external cabling to the expansion board. For more information on these cabling
requirements, see the documentation that ships with the option.
13. Power up the server.

CAUTION:
To prevent damage to electrical components, properly ground the server before beginning any
installation procedure. Improper grounding can cause ESD.
CAUTION:
To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all expansion slots
have either an expansion slot cover or an expansion board installed.
Procedure
1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove the server from the rack
4. Remove the access panel.
5. Remove the FlexibleLOM blank.
6. Install the FlexibleLOM adapter.
