Routes
Application
Setting up a route enables communication to a device that is located in another
subnetwork. Routing is used when the destination device is not in the same
subnetwork as the default gateway.
The route specifies that when a package is sent to the destination device it should
be sent through the selected router. If no route is specified the source device will
not find the destination device.
Setting guidelines
Routes are configured using the Ethernet configuration tool in PCM600.
Operation for the route can be set to On/Off by checking and unchecking the
check-box in the operation column.
Gateway specifies the address of the gateway.
Destination specifies the destination.
Destination subnet mask specifies the subnetwork mask of the destination.
