SETUP 3D PRINTER FOR CUSTOMER BUILD

USB Stick
• Go through the file folders on the USB stick.
• Show the customer where the printer's documents and software are located.
• Explain that changes to the documents and software can be changed without notice and can always go to 3dscentral.3dsystems.
com to obtain the latest updates.
Review and demonstrate the printer menus
• Go through menu structures on the system LCD panel.
• Show the customer the "Status Report" screens on the LCD panel and explain what each line means.
Review and demonstrate 3DPrint
• Set-up a build in 3DPrint.
• Click on 3D Setup and walk the customer through the options.
• Click on 3D Print and explain the functions of the status dialog box.
• Start the print job.
• Demonstrate the real-time update of the status dialog. Point out that the LCD system display shows up in 3DPrint.
• Explain the pre-build routine (fill bed, spread layer, and print job).
Discuss post build steps
• Demonstrate the gross and fine cleaning techniques for core removal.
• Demonstrate the infiltration of the part.
Prep the 3D Printer for the next build
• Discuss importance of the cleanliness techniques.
• Demonstrate overall printer cleaning.
• Specifically demonstrate cleaning the Service Station.
Teach the 3DPrint and 3DEdit Software
• Discuss in detail all 3DPrint and 3DEdit Software menu features and options.
• Highlight all features that may pertain to the customer's specific applications.
If possible, have the customer set up a build to run overnight.
Note to installer: Review the Overview section at the beginning of this manual. Be sure you've covered all the training topics. Doing a
good job now will save time and service calls later! Be thorough and answer any questions the customer may have.

MAKING ELECTRONIC CONNECTIONS

Register the customer in 3DS Central support site
All you need is the serial number of the printer. The Registration form is located here: 3DS Central account
(https://3dscentral.3dsystems.com). Please note that this registers the customer. IT DOES NOT REGISTER THE PRINTER.
Familiarize the user with the user website, 3DS Central. At a minimum, make sure they know:
• Where to download Firmware and Software
• Where the MSDSs are located
• Where to find the User Training Modules
• How to register for the Message Board
• Introduce the customer to 3dscentral.3dsystems.com. Go to "Ask 3DS" for all printer and applications support.
