5. Pull the rod all the way out.
6. Locate the groove in the rod.
7. Pull the rod sideways and fit this groove into the slot in the end of the
tube. This will securely lock the plunger in place.
8. Slide the open end of the grease cartidge into the tube and then
press down to seat it on the plunger. Twisting the grease cartridge
once it comes into contact with the rubber plunger may help to seat
it.
NOTE: A grease cartridge that has been crushed or damaged in ship-
ping may not work correctly.
