Positioning and Connecting the Speakers

About this task
The monitor's HDMI connection passes audio and video to the monitors. To use more powerful
speakers, you can add an amplifier and loudspeakers by connecting them to the analog or digital
audio output port
Before you begin
Ensure you have all the necessary equipment:
• An analog high quality amplifier with 2 speakers. Verify you have a shielded stereo audio cable
with a 3.5mm stereo audio plug.
or
• Two high quality amplified speakers.
Procedure
1. Place the amplified speakers as close to the Auxiliary-L and Auxiliary-R monitors as
possible.
2. Connect the amplified speakers:
Connect the amplified speakers to the analog or digital audio output port
Codec Unit shown in
3. Adjust the speaker volume so it is higher than the background noise.
We recommend that the speaker volume is at least 20 dBA higher than the background
noise.
