Installing a Server Certificate for Network Users

To use an 802.1X authentication protocol that includes local EAP processing on a WSS, the switch must have
a server certificate. You can generate a certificate on the switch itself or install a certificate assigned by a
certificate authority (CA). If you use a certificate assigned by a CA, you also need to install the CA's own
certificate for validation.
Note.
If you use an authentication protocol that uses EAP-TLS on the WSS, users also
need certificates. (For more information, see the Nortel Mobility System Software
Configuration Guide.)
The command syntax for installing certificates for management by WLAN Management Software or Web
View and installing certificates for network users is very similar. The CLI commands for configuring network
user authentication use the eap option instead of the admin option, but are otherwise the same. Likewise, the
procedures are the same.
