Configuring a 2350 Switch for a Branch Office 127
When configured as part of a Nortel Mobility Domain that also contains the WSSs at the central office, the
2350 enables visitors from the central office to access their corporate resources. This access does not require
the corporate VLANs to be configured on the 2350. Instead, the 2350 tunnels the user's traffic back to the
WSS that is configured with the user's VLAN.
Membership in the corporate Mobility Domain also enables the 2350 to use the RADIUS servers at the central
office for AAA services, including authentication of visiting users and assignment of visiting users to their
corporate VLANs.
An 2350 can boot and manage up to three APs. One AP can be directly connected and can receive power from
the 2350. Additional APs can be indirectly connected to the 2350 through the office LAN, in which case the
APs are Distributed APs. To provide power to Distributed APs, use a power injector or a third-party switch
that supports PoE.
