NOTE: If applicable, close the expansion card latch on the cooling shroud to release the full length card.
Steps
1 Press the expansion card retention latch down and turn the latch counterclockwise to open.
2 Pull the expansion card away from the riser.
3 If you want to remove the expansion card permanently, install a metal filler bracket over the empty expansion slot opening and close
the expansion card latch.
4 Close the expansion card retention latch.
NOTE: You must install a filler bracket over an empty expansion card slot to maintain Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper
cooling and airflow inside the system.
