Confirm proper option wiring.

Depending on the drive model, some drives may require routing the wiring to the

outside as shown in

Route the wiring inside the enclosure through the lower wiring cover to the outside

as shown in

Select the proper PROFIBUS-DP dedicated communication cable according to

Table 6

and

Firmly connect the PROFIBUS-DP communication cable to option communication

connector CN4.

Install PROFIBUS-DP communications cables apart from main-circuit wiring and

other electrical and power lines. Ensure the cable end is firmly connected (see

Figure

18). Refer to

details.

Note: Maximum transmission distance is 100 m (328 ft.). Minimum wiring distance between stations

is 0.2 m (7.9 in).

After connecting the prepared cable for the 9-pin D-sub communication connector

CN5, recheck the option wire routing performed in step 6..
