Fault Displays
A fault is indicated by a code on the data display and the ALM LED is on. The drive output is always switched off immediately
and the motor coast to stop.
To reset a fault, trace and remove the cause, and push the Reset key on the keypad or cycle the power supply.
Refer to the User Manual for a complete list of causes and possible solutions.

Option Communication Error
• The connection was lost after establishing initial
bUS
communication.
• Only detected when the run command frequency
reference is assigned to an option card.
MEMOBUS/Modbus Communication Error
CE
Control data was not received for the CE detection time set
to H5-09.
Current Offset Fault
Drive starts operation while the current-detection circuit
CoF
failure, or the induced voltage remains in the motor
(coasting and after rapid deceleration).

External fan failure
Excessive PI Feedback
PI feedback input is greater than the level set to b5-36 for
FbH
longer than the time set to b5-37. Set b5-12 to 2 or 5 to
enable fault detection.
PI Feedback Loss
This fault occurs when PI feedback loss detection is
FbL
programmed to trigger a fault (b5-12 = 2) and the PI
feedback level is below the detection level set to b5-13 for
longer than the time set to b5-14.
Ground Fault
• A current short to ground exceeded 50% of rated current
on the output side of the drive.
GF
• Setting L8-09 to 1 enables ground fault detection in
models 2A0075 to 2A0396, 4A0052ooA, and 4A0065
to 4A0590.
Output Phase Loss
LF
• Phase loss on the output side of the drive.
• Setting L8-07 to 1 or 2 enables Phase Loss Detection.
Output Current Imbalance
LF2
One or more of the phases in the output current are lost.
Node Setup Error
nSE
A terminal assigned to the node setup function closed
during run.
Overcurrent
oC
Drive sensors detected an output current greater than the
specified overcurrent level.
