Alarm Detection
n
Alarm Codes
An alarm is indicated by a code on the data display and the flashing ALM LED. The drive output is not necessarily switched
off.
To remove an alarm, trace and remove the cause, and reset the drive by pushing the Reset key on the keypad or cycle the
power supply.
Refer to the User Manual for a complete list of causes and possible solutions.

Drive Baseblock
bb
Drive output interrupted as indicated by an external
baseblock signal.
Option Card Communications Error
• The connection was lost after initial communication was
bUS
established.
• Assign a Run command frequency reference to the
option.
Serial Communication Transmission Error
CALL
Communication has not yet been established.
MEMOBUS/Modbus Communication Error
CE
Control data was not received correctly for two seconds.
CrST

Drive Disabled
Run Command Input Error
EF
Both forward run and reverse run closed simultaneously
for longer than 0.5 s.
Option Card External Fault
EF0
An external fault condition is present.
External Fault (input terminal S1 to S7)
EF1 to EF7
External fault at multi-function input terminal S1 to S7.
Excessive PI Feedback
The PI feedback input is higher than the level set to b5-36
FbH
for longer than the time set to b5-37, and b5-12 is set to 1
or 4.
PI Feedback Loss
The PI feedback input is lower than the level set to b5-13
FbL
for longer than the time set to b5-14, and b5-12 is set to 1
or 4.
Current Alarm
HCA
Drive current exceeded overcurrent warning level (150%
of the rated current).
Interlock Open
<1>
inTLK
ALM LED will not blink.
Cooling Fan Maintenance Time
The cooling fan has reached its expected maintenance
period and may need to be replaced.

the end of their expected performance life.
Note:
Soft Charge Bypass Relay Maintenance Time
The DC bus soft charge relay is nearing the end of its
expected performance life.
LT-3
Note:
IGBT Maintenance Time (50%)
IGBTs have reached 50% of their expected performance

life.
Note:
Heatsink Overheat
The temperature of the heatsink exceeded the overheat pre-
oH
alarm level set to L8-02 (90-100 °C). Default value for
L8-02 is determined by drive capacity (o2-04).
Drive Overheat Warning
oH2
"Drive Overheat Warning" was input to a multi-function
input terminal, S1 through S7 (H1-oo = B)
Motor Overheat
The motor overheat signal entered to a multi-function
oH3
analog input terminal exceeded the alarm level (H3-02 or
H3-10 = E).
Overtorque 1
oL3
Drive output current was greater than L6-02 for longer than
the time set to L6-03.
DC Bus Overvoltage
The DC bus voltage exceeded the trip point.
