The following situations will cause an event to be stored: any alarm, any fault, any status
transitions among the following states: Power On, Standby, Transmit, Reset. It is recommended
that auto log should be set to 5 minutes. This provides approximately one week of current data
entries. The unit will still asynchronously create log entries for any of the events listed in the
previous paragraph.
By weekly downloading and examining the event log, long term trends, which could lead to
degraded performance in the future, can be spotted and corrected, before maintenance is
required. Trends could include elevated temperatures or decreasing voltages over long time
periods. Figure 5-7 represents an event log entry.
Table 5-4 is a list of triggers that would create an entry in the event log.
Pressing MENU and entering SETUP (2/5) will allow the operator to clear the event log using
the reset event log feature.

Setup

The "User Preference Settings" section in the "Initial Power On and Checkout" Chapter contains all
the fields the operator can access in SETUP. Values can be changed while in the setup menu by
using the left/right arrow keys to change data fields and using ENTER to save the change.
SETUP has five pages of values that can be set. Figure 5-8 to Figure 5-12 shows each of these
pages.
