Prime Power

WARNING! DO NOT APPLY POWER TO THE AMPLIFIER UNTIL DIRECTED TO DO
SO IN THE PROCEDURE.
Prime power is applied to connector J1 (AC IN) located on the rear panel of the amplifier. J1 is
an IEC-60320-C20 INLET type connector; mating connector is IEC-60320-C19 cable mount. It
must be wired provide prime power of 100Vac to 240Vac ±10 (nominal), 47-63 Hz. This voltage
is indicated on a label located on rear panel.
For nominal 120VAC Power grids, the unit must be connected to main power through a circuit
breaker or fuse rated for 20A.
For nominal 230VAC Power grids, the unit must be connected to main power through a circuit
breaker or fuse rated for 10A.
The local utility company should approve the fuse or breaker. Ensure that the fuse or breaker's
interrupt rating meets the appropriate installation requirements.
A prime power mating connector is provided in the ship kit with the unit. The pins of the
prime power connector should be wired as indicated in Table 2-1.
Prepare the prime power cable but do not connect the cable to the amplifier at this time.
The user is responsible for supplying the appropriate connector for the main high voltage
connection at the end of the cable. Only a licensed electrician can connect the amplifier directly
to the mains.
