Installing the Rescue Disk Utility
Install the Rescue Disk Utility to the USB storage device. The procedure is given below.
Precautions for Correct Use
• We recommend that you start the Rescue Disk Creator from Run as administrator. Otherwise,
the Rescue Disk Creator cannot be installed correctly.
• Be aware that all data existing in the USB storage device to which you installed the Rescue
Disk Utility will be lost by installing the Rescue Disk Utility.

Connect the USB storage device to the USB port on the Industrial PC.

From the Windows start menu, select OMRON - Industrial PC, right-click Rescue Disk Crea-
tor, and select Run as administrator.
The Rescue Disk Creator dialog box is displayed.

Select a USB storage device under Target disk, and click the Create Rescue Disk button.
The Rescue Disk Utility is installed in the USB storage device.

Click the Close button to close the Rescue Disk Creator dialog box.

The backup procedure with the Rescue Disk Utility is given below.

Connect the USB storage device in which the Rescue Disk Utility is installed to the Industrial
PC while the power to the Industrial PC is not supplied.

Press the power button on the Industrial PC and then the F11 key.
The screen to select the device to start up is displayed.
