Application Procedures

This section gives the operating procedure of the Industrial PCs. This manual gives the detailed de-
scriptions in the same order as the following operating procedure.

Preparations
Perform procedures that are required to use the Industrial PC such as assembling, installation,
and connection with peripheral devices including a UPS.
Refer to the NY-series Industrial Box PC Hardware User's Manual (Cat. No. W556) or the NY-
series Industrial Panel PC Hardware User's Manual (Cat. No. W557) for details on assembling,
installation, and wiring for the Industrial PC, and on the parts of the Industrial PC.

gramming methods.

Step
Make the settings including the Windows setup when
Windows is started up for the first time.
Also, back up the status immediately after the Win-
dows setup is completed.
Turn ON the power or shut down.
Make the required UPS settings.
Adjust the brightness and contrast of the Industrial

Monitor.
Step
Make the settings required for the Controller and Win-
dows to communicate.
Set a shared folder used by the Controller as a Virtual
SD Memory Card.
Step
Use the API that operates the Controller, and create
an application to obtain variable data of the Controller.
Also, use the created application, and make the re-
quired communications settings to operate the Con-
troller.
