CONVERTING FROM COIN SLIDE OPERATION
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Disconnect Power to the washer.
2. Open and remove the service access door
on top of the metercase.
3. Remove the 5/16" (8mm) coin slide
mounting bolt.
4. Remove the coin slide, adapter plate and
funnel from the metercase assembly.
There is a hidden 3/8" hex nut on the
bottom of the coin slide adapter plate
accessed by first removing the coin vault to
access this adapter threaded post.
5. Insert the coin drop, with the sensor
attached, into the metercase opening.
Secure with 2 long hex bolts. Connect the
wire harness in the metercase to the same
connector the coin slide was connected to.
TO COIN DROP OPERATION
6. Reconnect power to washer. (note: In this
manual, XX stands for an unknown value)
The display should be reading the "6 XX"
code. Advance to the "d. XX" code by
pressing the WARM button. The value
display will probably be reading "d. CS",
but needs to be changed to "d. 00" for coin
drop operation. To change the value of this
code one needs to press the COLD button
3 consecutive times. This should toggle the
value to 00 or back to CS if desired. When
the coin slide (CS) was selected the "b. XX"
value was also changed.
7. Now change the "b. XX" code by advancing
through the various codes by pressing the
WARM button. When the "b. XX" code is
shown, it will be showing the value of Coin-1
in nickels. Therefore if a vend price of $2.00
was required, then 40 was the value of the
"b. XX" code ($2.00 divided by .05). This
now needs to change to $0.25, change the
value of the b. XX code by holding down
the HOT button until the proper value is
attained. It will cycle through all 199 values,
and there is no reverse, so slow down
around 199, as one can advance a single
digit at a time by pressing and releasing the
HOT button. Stop when the value displayed
on the screen is "b. 05", or 5 nickels.
8. Now change the vend price code. Advance
to the "6 XX" code using the WARM button,
the code should be reading "6 01" and
needs to be changed from the amount of
coin slide pushes, or 6 01, to the vend price
in the amount of quarters ($2.00 = 8). For
coin drop operation change this value to
read "6 08" by pressing the HOT button.
This value has a possible range of 0-39.
