3.6 Traffic Prioritization
The traffic prioritization allows you to make sure that the time-sensitive and system-critical data can be
transferred with the minimal delay. It uses four queues that are present in UI from the high priority to the low
priority.
The Delta switch supports the DSCP trust mode, the 802.1p trust mode, the queue scheduling (Support
Weighted Round Robin and Strict-Priority) and 4 level priority queues. The traffic prioritization depends on 2
methods:
IEEE 802.1P: a layer 2 marking scheme.
Differentiated Services (DiffServ): a layer 3 marking scheme.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that you save the configuration in the Save Configuration
page after you have applied the configuration changes. (Save
ConfigSave Configuration) If you do not save the configuration,
then the configuration will be cleared after the switch is rebooted.
