Caution: Wait until the self-test is com-
pleted in the display.
Note: The warning lamps of the battery
charge indicator and the oil pressure
must be illuminated.
6 Do not press down on the accelera-
tor.
7 Turn the ignition key to position ST
"Start motor".
Release the ignition key when motor
starts up.
Note: The warning lamps for the load
control and the oil pressure must turn
off; if this is not the case, shut the motor
off and troubleshoot the fault.
With low outside temperatures and a
cold motor.
See chapter "Cold start".
8 Let the motor warm up in half-throt-
tle position for a while.
refer to chapter entitled "Let motor
warm up".
Cold start
Important
Do not use starter spray or similar items!
1 Turn the ignition key to the GL
"Glow" position and wait a while.
2 Turn the ignition key to "Start mo-
tor"; now the motor should start up.
Note: If the motor does not start after 10
seconds, switch the ignition off for 30
seconds, then glow again and start.

Stopping the engine

Important
In case of an undesired motor stop, press
the emergency brake switch, turn the igni-
tion to OFF "Ignition off" and set the direc-
tion selector switch to neutral. Restart the
motor.
1 Select idle speed.
2 Switch off the working hydraulics
switch.
3 Activate the emergency brake
switch.
4 Turn the ignition key to OFF posi-
tion.
5 Remove ignition key.
6 If the motor is not be started again
immediately, switch off the main
switch.

Allow engine to warm up.

Important
Ensure that the emergency brake is locked
and all hydraulic drives are switched off
during the motor warm up.
Do not run the motor at full throttle until it
has been warmed up.
 After starting it up, run the motor without
load for 5 minutes.
 In cold temperatures, warm up the
transmission oil.
Note: Hydraulic oil is also used as
transmission oil.
 In cold weather, the oil becomes tough-
er and can cause reduced pressure and
faults in the hydraulic system.
Observe the warm-up periods in the follow-
ing table.

Driving

Start
Important
Do not load the engine excessively before
it is warmed up.
During transport drives, use the drive pedal
carefully, because there is a risk of sudden
speed decrease!
 During transport drives, attachments
must be raised all the way up.
 Release parking brake.
 Select the desired operating range
(work or transport range).
 Select the driving direction on the driv-
ing direction selector switch of the multi-
function lever.
Note: Only change the work range,
transport range or driving direction
while the machine is at a standstill.
 Carefully press down on the drive ped-
al. The speed (and the motor speed for
the two transport ranges) depends on
the position of the drive pedal.
Stop
 Carefully release the drive pedal into
the neutral position. The machine
stops.
 Turn off hydraulic drives.
 Select idle speed.
 Activate the emergency brake switch.
 Lower the attachments to the ground.
Traction control
This machine is equipped with a traction
control as standard equipment. Traction
control works in forward and reverse drive.
This traction control does not need to be
switched on separately; it works automati-
cally in all drive ranges.
Driving over obstacles
Hurdles up to 20 cm in height:
 Bypass the obstacles slowly and care-
fully at an angle of 45°.
Hurdles more than 20 cm in height:
 Only drive over these obstacles using a
suitable ramp.
Warning
Risk of damage! Ensure that the vehicle
does not get stuck up.

Attachments

Connecting attachments to the
machine
Different attachments (not included in the
scope of delivery) can be connected to the
front or the back of the vehicle. Attach-
ments that may jeopardise the safety or
stability of the vehicle must not be used.
IMPORTANT: Prior to installing attach-
ments that are not especially intended for

this vehicle, please contact your competent
dealer. Your dealer will check if these at-
tachments may be attached and used with
this vehicle. This is essential for the safety
of the driver and the vehicle as well as for
possible warranty claims.
Important
Please read the operating instructions for
the attachment you intend to use before
connecting it!
 Drive the vehicle up to the attachment.
Lower the machine frame far enough to
fit into the machine holder.
Note: The attachment must fit. There
are 3-point category II as well as 4-point
machine frames available.
 Lift the machine frame high enough to
lock in the attachment.
 Install the top link on the machine and
the attachment and secure it with a bolt
and spring plug.
 Switch off engine.
Connecting the attachment to the
hydraulics
 The machine is standard equipped with
2 double-acting hydraulic connections
in the front and 1 double-acting hydrau-
lic connection in the rear. There are
more options for this.
The attachments are connected using
3/8" quick couplings.
 There is an additional hydraulic con-
nection in the front for the work hydrau-
lics. There is also an optional rear hy-
draulic connection.
The couplings consist of plugs (forward)
and bushings (return) as well as a pres-
sure-free return (drainage).

Connecting the hydraulic hoses
With the motor running and locked emer-
gency brake:
 Bring the direction selector switch into
the neutral position.
Activate pressure relief:
 Press the OK button on the display.
 Press button 3.
