Setting Up Automatic Connection at Startup

TB8100.exe /I ipaddress[:port] [/L <accesslevel>:password]
TB8100 Service Kit User's Manual
To import connections
1. Copy a TB8100 connections file (*.t8n) from another Service Kit into the
main folder of your Service Kit program.
2. Run the Service Kit and select Tools > Configure Connections.
3. Click Import.
4. If necessary, select the desired connections file.
5. Click Open.

Exporting Connections

You can export Service Kit connections. This results in a TB8100 connections
file that you can import into other Service Kits. It also generates a text file that
lets you view the details of each connection.
To export connections
1. In the Connections dialog box (Tools > Configure Connections), specify
whether you want to export all connections or just a selection.
2. If you chose the Selected folder option, select the folder or the connection
that you want to export.
3. Click Export.
4. If necessary, specify the path and file name for the connections file.
5. Click Save.
6. The Service Kit saves the file, giving it the extension .t8n. It also saves an
equivalent text file with the same name and with the extension .txt. The text
file gives you a readable view of the exported connections. Editing this file
has no effect on the exported connections.
Running TB8100.exe starts the Service Kit. Command line parameters can be
supplied that instruct the Service Kit to connect to a particular base station
(Ethernet system interface required). This makes it possible for a network
management system to launch the Service Kit and have it connect to the base
station from which an alarm message has been received.
Switch
Meaning
Connect to the base station at the IP address specified. If the Service
/I
Kit has a defined connection to that IP address, it will use the settings
in that connection. If there is no defined connection, and the port to
use is not the default (for example, because a router accepts one port
number and redirects to another), you need to specify a port.
Log on using the specified access level and password, where
/L
<accesslevel> = admin|user|readonly. If you don't specify parameters
for this switch, you can manually enter them at connection time.
Once the Service Kit is logged on, it displays the main alarm form (Monitor >
Monitoring > Current Alarm Status).
