Tail pip tone
Tail pip tones can be used to signal users that the channel is now available.
They are transmitted during the hang time (while subaudible signalling is
still being transmitted). This means that only users with the same subaudible
signalling will hear them. Make sure that there is a sufficiently long hang
time to transmit the tail pip tones for the desired duration. You can have tail
pip tones as well as reminder tones.
Select the Tail pip tone check box to enable the tones. Configure them as
desired.
Specifies the interval between tail pip tones. The number of pips transmitted
depends on this value and on the hang time. For example, if the hang time
duration is 2000ms and there is 1 pip every 1 second, 2 pips will sound during
the transmit tail, provided the pip duration is sufficiently short.
Specifies the length of time that the pip tone sounds for. Note that the pip tone
duration cannot be longer than the hang time duration (see
page
133).
Specifies the amplitude of the tail pip tone relative to the nominal audio level.
Specifies the frequency of the tail pip tone.
