Flaw on Synchronizer Key and Spring
1. Check the projection in the center of the synchronizer key for
wear.
2. Check the spring for fatigue or wear on the area where the
spring contacts with the keys.
3. If there is any defect, replace them.
Backlash between Damper Disc Boss and Shaft
1. Mount the damper disc to the input shaft.
2. Hold the shaft so that it does not turn.
3. Rotate disc lightly and measure the displacement around the
disc edge.
4. If the measurement exceeds the allowable limit, replace the
damper disc.

Clutch Disc Wear (Both 4WD Side and Bi-speed Turn Side)
1. Measure the thickness of clutch disc with vernier calipers.
2. If the thickness is less than the allowable limit, replace it.

1. Measure the thickness of steel plate and pressure plate with
vernier calipers.
