Features and Menu Cards
Menu Card "Central
Settings"
Central settings for your OpenCom
1000 communications system can
be performed on any system tele-
phone. This is protected by a system
password.
It is recommended that the pass-
word is only issued to a limited
number of subscribers (e.g. the per-
son operating an attendant termi-
nal) to avoid unauthorised changes
to the system settings.

All incoming calls are signalled
on the attendant (central) ter-
minal. From there they are
transferred to the relevant tele-
phone.
Call variants: Call variants are

used to determine where calls
for an attendant terminal are
signalled. Examples: Variant 1 -

calls (direct calls, automatic
recalls, call returns to operator)
arrive at the attendant terminal.
Variant 2 - If the attendant ter-
minal is not manned, calls are
signalled on another (or several
other) telephone(s) (e.g. night
service). Variant 3 - Over the
weekend all calls are signalled
to a watchperson/porter. You
can change the telephone num-
ber to which all calls are sig-
nalled, or different numbers can
apply depending on the call
variant. Call variants are set up
according to your needs and
requirements. Up to 10 variants
can be set up.
Call Blocking: Your communi-

cation system telephones can
be consolidated into 16 groups.
With this setting you can dis-
able or enable calling between
the groups, for example if sev-
eral companies or departments
(hotel/hospital) use the same
telephone system.
Changing Central Access:
5
You can change the dialling
access of all or a selection
(where set up) of telephones in
your communications system to
a "lower level" (=outside
restricted). If dialling access has
been "lowered", all terminals
will have "system access
reduced" in their display.
