Making a Call
If block dialling is switched off,
hands-free operation is automati-
cally selected (only if on-hook) and
dialling occurs immediately after
telephone number entry.

Dialling
By activating touchtone dialling
(also called DTMF dialling) you can
use special services, e.g. remote
access of an answerphone or using
voicebox or city call. Touchtone
dialling is switched off when a
menu is called up or a key pressed
again or by terminating the call. If
you often post-dial digits using
touchtone dialling, then you can set
your telephone to change automati-
cally.

Muting

By pressing the mute key s you
switch of the microphone during a
call; the other party can no longer
hear you. Pressing the key again
switches the microphone back on.
The "off" state is signalled with a lit
LED.

Time Display
Providing your network provider
transmits call charge information,
you can view (for manually dialled
external calls) the current amount
during or after the call in the info
row. Using the menu item
Charge/Time Display
Menu card you can switch off this
display or change to call time dis-
play.
Adjusting the volume with
the plus/minus key

During open listening/hands-free
operation you adjust the speaker
volume with the plus/minus key,
the volume of handheld calls and
the ringer volume for incoming
calls. Once the telephone is in the
idle state again, the basic menu set-
ting is once again effective.
