Diverting calls Exiting and joining Several telephones can be joined together in a group and can then all be reached with the same telephone, or “hunt group”, number. When the PABX system receives a call for that number, it searches for a a hunt group free telephone within the group.
Diverting calls Changing the One possible call variant of your PABX system is switching over to a so-called “common extension”. When this facility is activated, all external calls normally sent to the switchboard telephone are signalled on a common specific telephone instead (e.g. night service operation by a watchman etc.) extension When the person in charge of the telephone designated as “common extension”...

If you cannot preventing call stand in for the team member any longer, you can disable (= off) the deputy function.
Configuring call keys Call diversion for Besides being able to use device diversion (all lines to INTERNAL/EXTERNAL keys together) you can also use the key diversion facility to divert calls received at your own individual INTERNAL/EXTERNAL keys either individual keys to internal or (if the feature is enabled) to external destinations.
Configuring call keys Call forwarding You can also activate call forwarding for your own individual INTERNAL/EXTERNAL keys. Protecting repeat dialling Locking repeat Protecting repeat dialling As described on page B-2, every internal or external number dialled is registered in the memory allocated to the Bkey. The number is overwritten whenever a new number is dialled. If you wish to call the telephone dialling number again later and want to prevent the memory from being overwritten by other numbers called in between, you may lock the repeat dialling memory.

Intercom message/speed dialling Short codes with When you store telephone numbers in the short-code dialling memory, it may be necessary to define pauses between the dialling of individual digits (e.g. in order to ensure a definite connection for certain suffix dialling and international calls).
Special functions PABX Recall Special functions If one or several analogue lines of your digital PABX system are connected to another PABX, you will have to “earth” the respective line e.g. to pick up a call on one of these lines. To do this, use the following procedure, or an appropriately programmed key.

If your device is not equipped with a data interface, any entries made under this number remain without effect.
Storing telephone numbers General Storing telephone numbers You can assign telephone numbers to DESTINATION keys, DIRECT CALL keys and TEAM keys. A telephone number can be assigned to any free key, giving it the function of a DESTINATION key. Once a DIRECT procedure CALL or a TEAM key has been configured by your service engineer, you can program a telephone number to it yourself.
Storing telephone numbers Assigning Instead of storing telephone numbers, you can also store keystroke sequences as described in the chapter “Short input codes for facilities” (page E-1). These keystroke sequences, e.g. for “Call protection for all own functions to INTERNAL/EXTERNAL keys“ are handled like telephone numbers. You will find notes on how to call up the DESTINATION facilities on page E-1.
Programming FUNCTION keys Assigning specific Programming FUNCTION keys Keys to which service menu facilities are programmed are described as FUNCTION keys. To program a function key, proceed as follows: facilities to keys To start programming: Call up service menu, press desired key and, if required, clear previously stored number.
Programming FUNCTION keys Example 1.1 To assign facilities that affect a call connection to a key, proceed as follows: e.g.for call-waiting indication (cf. page C-12) Start programming sequence. Start programming FUNCTION. R 57A Enter the code numbers of the service menu. Conclude entry.
Programming FUNCTION keys Example 2 To assign facilities which require additional input to a specific key, proceed as follows: e.g. for call charge display (cf. page C-45) Start programming sequence. Start programming FUNCTION. R 652A A Enter the code numbers of the service menu. Conclude entry.
Programming FUNCTION keys Example 4 To assign a facility permitting “automatic switch-over” to a key, proceed as follows: e.g. for call diversion (cf. page C-21) Start programming sequence. Start programming FUNCTION. R 211A M Enter the code numbers of the service menu and select further settings ... destination As soon as you are shown the on/off display, on! 0=off...
Programming FUNCTION keys Linking several You can assign several facilities to one single free key on your telephone. There are two ways to do this: You can “stack” facilities on MULTIFUNCTION keys (cf. page D-10) or you can “link” the facilities. Linked facilities facilities are programmed sequentially so that when the respective key is pressed, all the facilities are carried out one after the other.
Programming FUNCTION keys Example 5 Supposing that you want to leave your desk and divert all external calls to an external extension and at the same time reduce your own extension to semi-restricted line access, you have to program the respective key as described below.
Programming FUNCTION keys Example 6 Programming “Function off” key Start programming sequence. Start programming FUNCTION. R 211A M Enter code numbers of service menu for “call diversion” (cf. page C-21); destination in example *2 for external call diversion and *0 for switching off. *2*0 Conclude entry.
Programming FUNCTION keys MULTI- On MULTIFUNCTION keys it is possible to “stack” facilities. This gives you the advantage of being able to browse through several facilities with the programmed key and, by confirming with the STORE key, access FUNCTION keys the service menu at the desired facility.
Programming FUNCTION keys Example 7 You want to “stack” the facilities “pick up”, “enable follow me” and “call protection” on one key. Proceed as follows: Start programming sequence. Start programming FUNCTION. R 44 Enter the code numbers of the service menu (in the example for “pick up” cf.
Programming FUNCTION keys “Stacking” You can also stack telephone numbers on a free key. You can browse through the telephone numbers by pressing the programmed key and then pick up the handset when the desired number is reached. The num- telephone ber is then dialled.
General Notes EShort input codes The facilities of your PABX system and telephone can be activated in a variety of ways, depending on the model options and the key layout. This means that you can achieve the same result (e.g. activating call diversion) using various operating procedures.
