Source Power Accuracy Test

Function of the Test: To confirm the accuracy of the source output power of your network analyzer over its
full frequency range.
Specification Tested: Test Port Output–Power Level Accuracy
Equipment Used:
• Power meter
• Power sensors
• Any necessary adapters
Description of the Test:
1. The analyzer is Preset.
2. The analyzer is set up for a CW reflection measurement on the test port to be measured.
3. A power sensor is connected to the test port, using any necessary adapters.
4. The analyzer frequency is set to the desired value.
5. The power meter correction table is set to the same frequency.
6. The output power is measured, and the value is compared to the Preset setting.
7. This process is repeated at hundreds of frequencies across the analyzer's full range. The difference
between the measured power and the output setting must fall within the specified accuracy range at all
points for the test to pass.
If the Analyzer Fails this Test:
• Perform the
"Source Adjustment" on page 3-42
