Making a GSM / 3G connection
A "GSM" communication infers a VOICE communication over the standard GSM network, and the 3G
connection refers to a DATA communication such as FTP file transfer, or VoIP communication..
When the WiFi / 3G option is installed in the recorder, the available options will appear
automatically in the transmission
GSM settings:
PIN / Provider:
APN/ name (3G):
User / password (3G): Supplied by the provider
Additional DNS (3G):
Generally these optional fields should be left blank unless problems occur with 3G communication,
in which case contact your nearest Nagra dealer for assistance.

This is the PIN number of the SIM card inserted into the slot on the circuit
board inside the Nagra. For the Provider portion, this should be left blank for
automatic provider detection. If a specific provider is known it can be
entered here.
This is the Access Point Name for 3G operation and is supplied by the
provider.
Additional Domain Name Server address (for advanced users only)
On this screen the transmission interface is set
to GSM / 3G and the choice of available
transmission modes is displayed in the drop-
down menu according to the options installed.
Once the desired mode is chosen proceed in the
same manner as any other communication
method already explained in this manual.
